Article Snippet: MDMs were either pretreated with HRO for 16 h, followed by a change of medium with the addition of 1 μg/ml lipopolysaccharide (LPS, Sigma-Aldrich, L2630) and 50 ng/ml IFN-γ (Miltenyi Biotec, 130-096-481) for a further 24 h or cotreated with either HRO or PEHeRo and 1 ng/ml LPS for 24 h. Supernatants were collected, pooled per condition, centrifuged, and frozen at −80°C until shipping on dry ice for analysis.
